A German dog was injected with poison by its owner in Russia and buried alive. However, the brave dog managed to save himself by digging up the dirt and escaping from the grave. Despite screaming for help, no one came to his aid. Luckily, caring people eventually rescued him and he has now been adopted into a safe and secure environment where he can begin a new life.
While on a road trip in Northern Russia, Olga Lysteseva (39) spotted a tired and dejected dog named Kiryusha (7), slowly making his way down the wet road.
Thanks to the kindness of strangers, the dog who was poisoned and buried alive by its cruel owner has been brought back to life. The woman had to take a detour on the highway before completing the last 10 kilometers of her journey on foot to reach Kiryusha’s whereabouts.
Before taking the dog to an animal rescue center in Ukhta, Lysteseva made sure to give it some food. She drove for 160 kilometers with the furry friend in tow. The center then posted pictures of Kiryusha online and asked for any relevant information about the dog’s owner. Luckily, they found the previous owners, who happened to be a married couple, in no time.
The reason for the harsh treatment of Kiryusha was revealed when the two individuals were asked. They claimed that the dog was “evil,” leaving them with no choice but to administer a lethal injection and bury it in a far-off location. However, they apologized for their mistake after being confronted by the center. Fortunately, despite the traumatic experience, Kiryusha appeared healthy following a check-up by a veterinarian. Thanks to the kindness of Olga Lysteseva, Kiryusha has started a new life, as stated by Ekaterina Nimak, a member of the relief center.
Nimak shared that Kiryusha is doing well and is in a safe and stable environment at the relief center. The dog is being walked on a leash, stays away from other dogs, rarely has any conflicts with them, and does not cause any discomfort to people. Nimak expressed that everyone is thrilled with Kiryusha’s progress.
